Founder story
Why I created One Body Now
It did not start with an app. It started on a bathroom floor at 4 a.m.
The wake-up
My name is Olivier Monteux. I'm an entrepreneur, developer, investor, Biohacker and lifelong student of the human body.
In 2014, at 32, I woke in the night with a violent pain in my stomach. Half-asleep, I walked to the bathroom for painkillers. I never reached the cabinet. I fainted, hit the floor, and came to with my girlfriend at the time crying over me. She had already called the firefighters. I had been out for several minutes.
At the hospital they ran the checks. Nothing acute. "You can go home."
When I asked about the pain: more tests later with my usual doctor.
I never booked those tests. I already knew the cause.
The night before I had stacked cheese, bread, rillettes, and a lot of red wine. I was a workaholic entrepreneur living on screens, stress, and weekends that recovered nothing, and a Parisian hedonist who treated my body like it would always keep up. It stopped keeping up.
Lying on that hospital bed, one thing became obvious:
if I did not take responsibility for my health, nobody else would.

Health as a startup
So I treated the problem the only way I knew how: like a company I had to build.
I read everything I could find on nutrition and training. I tested diets: paleo, juicing, low-carb, vegetarian, carnivore. I restarted sport with mixed success. I did Miracle Morning and chi-kong. I meditated every morning for six months straight.
Then I found yoga, first through simple stretch videos, then as a real daily practice. My back quieted down. My stress dropped. My body started answering when I listened.
I am not a doctor, not a naturopath, not a high-level athlete. I was a beginner who refused to stay broken. That honesty still matters: One Body Now is built for real life, not for people who already live in a gym.
Along the way there were false starts and pivots: a yoga learning project, an alternative health website, the usual entrepreneur detours.
What never left was the same question:
How do I help people take care of themselves when life gets loud?

My philosophy
After years of testing, one conviction stayed:
Movement, nutrition, and breath are not "extra" wellness habits.
They are the lifestyle change almost everybody actually needs.
Not a 30-day challenge.
Not a perfect Monday.
A way of living you can still do on a busy Tuesday.
Move: so your body stays capable, strong, and awake
Eat: so you fuel energy, recovery, and clarity instead of borrowing from tomorrow
Breathe: so your nervous system can switch off stress, sleep deeper, and come back to yourself
Miss one for long enough and the others pay for it.
Practice all three, simply and often, and everything else in health gets easier.
That is the lifestyle I wish I had built before the bathroom floor.
That is the lifestyle One Body Now exists to make practical.

What I learned (the system)
Feeling better never came from one perfect diet, one brutal workout, or one miracle routine.
It came from seeing that everything is connected.
How you move changes your energy.
How you eat changes performance and recovery.
How you breathe changes focus, stress, and sleep.
Each part strengthens or weakens the others.
The wellness industry usually sells them apart: one app for workouts, another for calories, another for meditation. More information. More tabs. Not more consistency.
Most people already know they should train, eat better, sleep, and manage stress.
What they lack is not another tip.
They lack a clear system that still works when motivation disappears.
We do not live in three separate bodies, so the answer could not be three separate apps.
That insight became One Body Now, one platform around three pillars:
Move. Eat. Breathe.

How it works in practice
You do not need to transform your whole life overnight.
You need one useful action now.
One repetition can interrupt hours of sitting.
One better meal can turn a day around.
One conscious breath can shift your state.
Repeated, those actions become habits.
Habits become the lifestyle: move, eat, breathe, every day you can.
That is the whole product in one line:
start with one action. Build the system.

Beyond the screen
Living in Mallorca pushed the vision past the phone.
Through small experiences (movement, breathwork, cold, sauna, real food, nature, human connection), I saw what technology cannot replace: presence, and doing this with other people in the right environment.
The app gives guidance, structure, and accountability.
Real-world experiences (including The One House) create depth and connection.
One Body Now holds both: digital daily practice, and places to reset in real life.

Who this is for
I built this for busy professionals, entrepreneurs, creators, parents, and really anyone whose responsibilities quietly pushed health into the background.
People who want more energy, strength, clarity, and control
without turning their life into an extreme routine.
This is not perfection.
It is learning to listen to your body, knowing what it needs, and building a lifestyle of movement, nutrition, and breath that survives real weeks, not just January.
